Create a Custom Dictionary from a Built-in Dictionary

Create a custom dictionary based on an existing Skyhigh Security built-in dictionary to meet your data protection needs. For example, you need to protect sensitive personal information and want to use the Skyhigh Security PII Keywords dictionary as your basis, but you want to add terms to suit your organizational needs.

To add keywords to an existing Skyhigh Security built-in dictionary, first export the Skyhigh Security dictionary keywords, add new keywords in the exported file, and then import the file to a custom dictionary.

  1. In Skyhigh CASB, go to Policy > DLP Policies > Classifications.
  2. In the left-hand pane, select a category to add your custom classification.
  3. From the help box on the right, click Create to add a new classification to the selected category.
  4. Enter a name for the classification, and an optional description to describe its use or purpose.
  5. Click Select Criteria and select Dictionary. The available dictionaries are listed in the right-hand pane.
  6. From View, select Skyhigh Security. The Skyhigh Security built-in dictionaries are listed.
  7. Click the name of the dictionary you want to add keywords. For example, UK PII Keywords (Skyhigh Security). Additional details about the dictionary opens. Click View Details to view all the details about the dictionary.
  8. From the menu next to the selected dictionary, click Export. The .csv file, with all the keywords from this dictionary, is downloaded to your computer.
  9. Add your company-specific keywords to the downloaded .csv file.
  10. From the Dictionaries menu, click Create. Enter a name and optional description for the dictionary. For example, My UK PII Keywords.
  11. From the menu next to the selected dictionary name, click Import (.csv) and import the .csv file. The keywords entries are listed in the dictionary details.
  12. Click Save. The dictionary is added to the Dictionaries list.
  13. Search for the dictionary and select the checkbox next to the dictionary name. The dictionary is added to your classification conditions.
  14. Optionally, edit the threshold by clicking [1]. Enter a number to indicate the weight of the dictionary keywords in threshold matching, and press Enter.
  15. Add more classification conditions as needed and click Save.

Your custom classification with custom dictionary is saved to the selected category in the Classifications list. Add the classification to your data protection policies as needed.
