Global Notification Settings

Global Notification Settings allow administrators to enable or disable preexisting System Notifications or create custom notifications using Saved Views.

Currently, notifications are supported for:

  • Usage Analytics. Triggers an email notification for any changes that occur in the Usage Analytics Saved Views.
  • Cloud Governance. Triggers an email notification for any changes that occur in Service Risk Saved Views.
  • Cloud Connector.  Triggers an email notification that describes the overall health and running status of Skyhigh Cloud Connector.
  • Cloud Security Advisor. Triggers an email notification that provides the overview of cloud security scores and metrics along with recommendations to improve security maturity score.

Find this page at Settings > Global Notification Settings.

When enabled, notifications are on by default for all users of a tenant. Users can then disable notifications they are not interested in receiving on the User > Notification Settings page.

When the threshold for a notification is exceeded, an email is sent to all users. The next email notification is sent after 24 hours.

For a specific Global Notification, if the threshold is breached for one user, but not breached for another user, then the notification engine keeps monitoring it and sends the email if and when the threshold is breached for the other users. This scenario can occur when some users have Data Jurisdiction restrictions, so the thresholds can not be reached at the same time as the other users.

When you receive a Notification email, click View Services to open the Services Overview or Users Overview page. The Saved View is already selected in the Omnibar, and you see the search results in the table.
