Review the Web Hybrid Policy Sync Status

To enable a Hybrid solution, the policy on your on-prem appliances is synchronized with the cloud policy that you have created under Skyhigh Security Service Edge. You can review the synchronization status.

User's used from the SSE-Web(cloud proxy) to hybrid synch needs to have 'User Analytics' role enabled in the permission to be successful.

  1.  On the user interface of the Security Service Edge cloud platform, make sure you are on the Web Dashboard page.

This is the page that you will see first after logging on to Security Service Edge. The path to it is Dashboards > Web Dashboard.

If you have access to the Web Policy pages on Security Service Edge, you can select Policy > Web Policy > Policy on the user interface. Then select
Hybrid Policy > Hybrid Policy Routing from the policy tree. The synchronization status is shown on the right of the page that appears.

  2.  Review the synchronization status information at the top of the page. On a Web Policy page review it on the right.

One of the following statuses is shown here:

  • Last appliance policy received:
    Date and time
Date and time of the last synchronization

    Appliance name
    Appliance ID
ID of the appliance that sent the policy when the last synchronization took place

Policy synchronization works as expected. No troubleshooting measures are required.

  • No appliance policy received for five days. Last received:
    Date and time
Date and time of the last synchronization

    Appliance name
    Appliance ID
ID of the appliance that sent the policy when the last synchronization took place

Policy synchronization is impacted. Troubleshooting measures are needed. Continue with step 3.

  • No appliance policy received. Hybrid Policy Routing controls are disabled.

Policy synchronization is not implemented. Even if you have access to the Web Policy pages, you cannot use the Hybrid Policy Routing rule set.

   3.  Check your on-prem appliances to find out why policy synchronization did not work as expected.

  1.   On the user interface of one of the appliances in your Hybrid configuration, select the Troubleshooting top-level menu.
  2.   On the appliances tree, select one appliance after another and complete substeps c, d, and e for each of them.
  3.   Select Synchronization to Cloud.
  4.   Click Synchronize.
  5.   Review the message text that appears under Results.

Contact support for assistance in addressing the issue or issues if any are mentioned in the message text.
