About Configuring an IPsec Tunnel

You can route web traffic from any location through an IPsec tunnel to Secure Web Gateway.

IPsec is a network protocol that authenticates and encrypts data packets to secure communications. Unlike the GRE protocol, IPsec can only tunnel IP data packets.

To build an IPsec tunnel, you must configure:

• IPsec tunnel settings on Secure Web Gateway, see Configure an IPsec Tunnel on Secure Web Gateway. 

• IPsec tunnel settings on a network component that you run together with Secure Web Gateway, see Configuring an IPsec Tunnel on Your Network Device or in Your SD-WAN Service.
