Configure the Block List

You can configure an endpoint processes list to block from accessing a network. This reduces the amount of traffic that is redirected to the proxy server for filtering. Each Client Proxy policy is associated with a list of blocked processes. A process list is a list of processes that run on the endpoints. Windows process names must end with .exe and macOS process names don't require a file name extension. You can use the import and export option to upload and download the block list.

  1. In Skyhigh CASB, click the Settings icon.
  2. Select Infrastructure | Client Proxy Management.
  3. In the policy tree, select Configuration Policies.
  4. Select a policy from the policy tree.
  5. In For traffic on non-redirected port, select an option:
    • Allow traffic to go directly to destination — All processes are allowed to access the internet without going through a proxy server.
    • Block traffic for all processes not on a Bypass List — All processes are blocked from accessing the internet except for processes on the bypass list.
    • Block traffic for processes in this list: List of Processes to Block — All processes are allowed to access the internet without going through a proxy server except for the ones on this list.
      • Click List of Processes to Block to open List of Processes to Block. From the Add Process drop-down list, provide the following:
        • Process — Enter the process name. Windows process names must end with .exe. macOS process names don't require a file name extension.
        • Comment — Enter additional information.
        • +— Click this to configure another process.
  6. To import processes from the .csv file:
    • From the Add Process drop-down list, select Import CSV. Navigate to the folder containing the list of processes. Select the file and click Open. The processes in the .csv file are added to the list
  7. To export processes to a .csv file:
    • From the Add Process drop-down list, select Export CSV. Downloads the configured processes to the .csv file.
  8. Click Save.

You can publish saved changes to the cloud now or keep working and publish later.
