About Working with Secure Web Gateway
Secure Web Gateway provides protection against all kinds of threats that arise when users of your organization who work with cloud services access the web.
For example, when user tries to download a file from the web, this file is scanned and the download blocked if the scanning result is that the file is malware-infected.
For more background information about how Secure Web Gateway provides protection, see Secure Web Gateway Concepts.
After setting Secure Web Gateway up, you can configure it and modify its default behavior to enforce a web policy that suits your requirements. How to do this is explained here in more detail.
-
Setup — For information about how to complete the setup, see About Setting Up Secure Web Gateway.
- Web policy — When configuring your web policy, you work with either the old or the new view of the user interface. The new view provides you with a wider range of functions, see Using Different Views for Working with Secure Web Gateway.
For information about how to configure your web policy in each of the two views, see About Configuring a Web Policy or About Configuring a Web Policy (Using the Old View).
You can move from working with the old view to the new view, see Upgrade from the Old to the New View of the User Interface.
To provide protection against web threats in an environment where users work on-prem, Secure Web Gateway is also offered as an on-prem product, see the information provided under Skyhigh Secure Web Gateway (On Prem).
You can move from working with the on-prem product to the cloud product and migrate the web policy that you have configured on-prem to the cloud environment.
