Finding Reference Information for Working with Secure Web Gateway

When you are working with Secure Web Gateway, reference information is available to let you know about the settings and other items you can configure for the appliance system and the web filtering functions.

For properties that have been introduced recently, see List of Recently Introduced Properties. Information about older properties and other configuration items is provided in PDF format. 

Complete the steps described in the table below to find the reference information you are looking for. If an item cannot be found in the lists that these steps take you to, it is not included among the important configuration items that reference information is provided for.
 

Configuration items How to find reference information Remarks
Actions Review the following steps, then start your search by clicking the link after step 3.
1. Click Configuration Lists.
2. Under Contents at the bottom of the first page of the PDF file that opens, select
    List of actions. This list is sorted alphabetically based on the names of the actions.
3. Browse through this list until you find the action you are looking for.
To start your search, click Configuration Lists.
Web policy configuration
Action settings For some actions, you can configure settings, see Action settings. Web policy configuration
Error IDs Review the following steps, then start your search by clicking the link after step 3.
1. Click Configuration Lists.
2. Under Contents at the bottom of the first page of the PDF file that opens, select
    List of error IDs. This list is sorted based on the numbers that serve as identifiers
    for the errors. 
3. Browse through this list until you find the error ID you are looking for.
To start your search, click Configuration Lists.
Web policy configuration
Events Review the following steps, then start your search by clicking the link after step 3.
1. Click Configuration Lists.
2. Under Contents at the bottom of the first page of the PDF file that opens, select
    List of events. This list is sorted alphabetically based on the names of the events.
3. Browse through this list until you find the action you are looking for.

Incident IDs Review the following steps, then start your search by clicking the link after step 3.
1. Click Configuration Lists.
2. Under Contents at the bottom of the first page of the PDF file that opens, select
    List of incident IDs. This list is sorted based on the numbers that serve as identifiers
    for the incidents. 
3. Browse through this list until you find the incident ID you are looking for.
To start your search, click Configuration Lists.

Open ports To view a list of the ports that must be open on a firewall if one exists in a configuration with Secure Web Gateway, review the following steps, then start navigating to this list by clicking the link after step 3. 
1. Click Configuration Lists.
2. Under Contents at the bottom of the first page of the PDF file that opens, select
    List of open ports. 
3. Read through this list to be informed about the ports that must be open.
To start your search, click Configuration Lists.
System configuration

Properties

Reference information is provided in two lists for recently introduced and older properties.

  • For recently introduced properties, see List of Recently Introduced Properties.

  • For older properties, review the following steps, then start your search by clicking the link after step 3.
    1. Click Configuration Lists.
    2. Under Contents at the bottom of the first page of the PDF file that opens,
        select List of properties. This list is sorted alphabetically based on the names
        of the properties.
    3. Browse through this list until you find the property you are looking for.
    To start your search, click Configuration Lists.
